To The Kentucky Members of the National Cutting Horse Association :
 
               For your consideration, I am submitting the following information as a candidate for NCHA Area Director for a term of three years :
 
                   - I am a life long resident of Kentucky and a graduate of Cumberland College with a BA in Business Management / Education.
                  
                   - I have been active for many years in agriculture maintaining a commercial herd and pure-bred show cattle.
 
                   - I have been in the showing and breeding of cutting horses for close to 40 years.
 
                   - Having been appointed by the Governor, I currently serve on the Kentucky Horse Park as a Commissioner and I am on the Board of the      
                     Kentucky Horse Park Foundation.
 
                   - I am actively involved in the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games being held in Lexington, Ky.
 
                   - I have served on the Equine Advisory Board of the North American International Livestock Exposition since the early 1970's.
 
                   - I have recently been elected as a Director of the Kentucky Cutting Horse Association.
 
                   - In the past, I have served more than one term as President of the Kentucky Cutting Horse Association.
 
                   - Life-time member of the National Cutting Horse Association for 30 plus years (#1169)
 
                   - I placed third in the Top Ten in the Eastern Nationals.
 
                   - I am a World Champion in Amateur Cutting.
 
                     If elected as your Director of the National Cutting Horse Association, I would like to increase the association membership in Kentucky and encourage more membership involvement, both in Kentucky and nationally.  I would also like to help establish a three year old futurity, hopefully in conjunction with the North American Livestock Exhibition.  I would like to get more involved in decision making and changes for the amateur / non-professional decisions on a national level and help promote the sport of cutting in general.
